Chelsea Meyer
B103 Morning Host
Hi there, I’m Chelsea! You hear me on the Chelsea & Friends from 6a-9a, Monday through Friday and on the weekends during the local Top 20 Countdown!
I get asked the question a lot, “why did you get into radio?” Two reasons. My Pa, Ron Meyer, started in radio as, “Rockin’ Ron” down in Mobile, Alabama. He raised me since I was born and encouraged me to get into the radio realm.
Secondly, I love Rockford. I am an 815 native who has moved away multiple times but this is the place I call home and it always brings me back. The people, the culture, the community. That’s why I got into radio, to serve the community that I live in and to highlight all of the positive aspects of the Forest City.
I am a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have been with my partner, Kayla for 11 years. She is the glue that holds me together.
I’m a dog mom to six lovable fur babies. Yes, I know, I have a pet problem, LOL! Benny, the b103 mascot, An Australian Shepard named Moose, a Pom-chi named Jane, and Mabel, our newest addition!
When I’m not on air, you can find me rollerblading on the Sinnissippi bike path and catching up on my favorite shows like murder documentaries, ‘Selling Sunset’, and ‘Only Murders in the Building’.

Head of Coaching and Continuity & Brand Manager for B103
I’m so happy to be in Rockford helping you get through your weekdays on B103! I’ve been “playing” radio since I was 8 years old so you could say I’m living my dream 🙂 I grew up in Sandwich, Illinois which is only about 65 miles south of here.
I have a high school aged daughter named Teagan who some days I swear is going on 20! My household also consists of 2 very curious and sometimes naughty cats named Cheesepuff & Cartman. I am a single mother trying my best to juggle mom-life, work-life, and a social-life. My favorite things include coffee, Mexican & Asian food, traveling, spending time with family and friends, Netflix, Hulu, concerts, running/walking outside on a beautiful day, and watching The Office, Parks and Recreation (the funniest shows ever made!) and Sex and the City. Looking forward to meeting you as b103 is always out and about in the Stateline area!
