DeKalb Market Lead

Mid-West Family in DeKalb is looking for a “Market Lead Manager” to oversee all operations in the DeKalb County area for Mid-West Family’s broadcast property, on-site events, and digital media capabilities.  

In this role, you will be expected to accomplish the following:

• Lead 94-9 WDKB in the marketplace with our existing and future advertising customers
• Be the liaison between area organizations like Chambers of Commerce and other influential community influencers
• Outline an annual revenue plan for the marketplace, including a portfolio of your own, that is responsive to the needs of each individual customers using the assets we have available in the on-air, online, and on-site space
• Be the lead manager on our partnership with Northern Illinois University athletics to make sure we maximize our impact with that organization
• Become the go-to local thought leader for advertising and marketing that business owners and managers trust in the great DeKalb County area
• Oversee our day-to-day operations in the DeKalb County area, in conjunction with and collaboration with the team of individuals that can support behind the scenes.
• Yes, this position will allow you to “run” the radio station and our other efforts in DeKalb County in collaboration with our leadership team.

Ideal candidates for this position will have experience in outside sales, lead generation, customer service, community involvement, and detailed follow through on agreements.  Supervisory experience of individuals in various roles is also helpful.  Experience in the professional service industry like insurance sales, banking, advertising agencies or other similar verticals is helpful but not required. Ideal candidates should also be reliable, capable of handling daily deadlines and key job functions in a dynamic fast paced business environment, and have the ability to adapt to multiple programs.

Requirements

• 10 years of progressive professional experience in the outbound sales, marketing, and service industries
• Self-Starter with an entrepreneurial and accountable approach
• College degree preferred
